Team Leader – Peru

Ph.D. Danilo E. Bustamante

Their research lines focus on molecular systematics, phylogeny, population genetics, phylogeography, and genomics of plant organisms with the aim of understanding complex topics such as conservation, biogeography, molecular evolution, and the evolution of diversity, analyzing all this information through bioinformatics. Dr. Bustamante has also been involved in research projects related to the cultivation and cryopreservation of algae for the development of functional foods. His academic and scientific experience, with more than 11 articles published in indexed international journals and another 8 in preparation, demonstrates his commitment to generating and expanding knowledge.
